Based in Shenzhen, China, MCDevices (short for MCD) always focus on R&D on original RF chips and modules. With advanced technology, world-class communication products have been designed and produced by MCD. We aspire and have confidence to become one of thetop-ranking manufacturers in design and production of wireless communication components in domestic and overseas since establishment.
MCD was set up in year 2002, sponsored by Mr. Jack Yuan leading a team of experienced Chinese IC design professionals who had studied and worked in the United States and Canada and they were particularly good at designing digital-analog chips and modules for consumer electronics. FromJune to September, 2002, Mr. Jack Yuan came back to China from Canada for investigation. He visited over a dozen consumer electronics OEM/ODM factoriesin Pearl River Delta and found that the imported chips could be developed with more advanced technology and lower cost. From then on Mr. Jack Yuan determined to back China and start his own business.
MCD’s first step was to develop original chips that could replace imported brand ones although suffered unexpected difficulties and frustration, such as partners left MCD, investors cancelled investment. But Mr.Jack Yuan had never shaken his decision. In recent years, MCD has developed a seriesof original chips, including 200MHz-1.3GHz PLL chip MCD8825B in 2003, 18MHz chip MCD2926 in 2006, and the second generation of PLL 2000 series with built-inVCO in 2007. In 2009, a series of wireless audio modules based on MCD chips were created, which has established a solid foundation for MCD to become the leader manufacturer of analog short distance wireless audio transmission.
As an experienced local chip design company, MCD has become fully aware of, in order to survive from fierce competition at home and abroad,the factors like marketing, financial support, human relationship management and other skills are more important than chip design in many cases. MC Devices get high reputation from media and masses of users through hard working and richexperience command. In 2006, MCD was listed on “EDN China”, the leading journals of Chinese electronic design industry, as one of the eight “China Local Innovative Company”. At the same year, MCD nominated as “Shenzhen hi-tech enterprise”. In 2007, MCD was rated as one of “the most popular domestic IC design houses”. In 2008, MCD ranked as one of “China's 10 most promising ICdesign houses”. As well, MCD is highly evaluated among its counterparts overseas for the firm persistent in original chips and refuse to copy the chips made by Japan and western countries. In September, 2007, Mr. Hirayama, the president from Japan Dempa, visited MC Devices. In 2009, MCD was again listedas “China Local Innovation Company” on EDN China.
Under the support from TSMC and Singapore Charters,MC Devices adopts its own original PLL chips, and has developed 2-1000MHz analog audio modules with excellent stability and compatibility. Hereafter,world famous company Sony, Philips, Panasonic and Tomy successively become MCD’sclients and even directly cooperate with JVC Kenwood, Uniden and Sanyo.
